Jade Knox's work in sculpture, painting, and performance explores time, narrative, and perception, shaped by both viewer and environment. Beginning with a desire for expansion during the pandemic, her practice grew both in scale and in its immersive storytelling. Influenced by the observer effect and world-building, her work blends ancient artifacts with speculative futures. Drawing from her background in rural Tennessee and her new experiences with the industrious city of Seattle, Knox weaves personal and cultural narratives into organic, modular forms. Her sculptures are not static objects but responsive artifacts--revealing new meanings with each encounter. Through this work, Knox builds portals that reflect memory, space, and the transformative power of attention.
